Moles and Skin Cancer Services
Dermoscopy is the formal assessment of a lesion under special magnification to aid in diagnosis (most importantly to pick up on potential skin cancers). Dr. Cherie has had formal post graduate training and qualifications in Dermoscopy by the Skin Cancer College of Australasia.
Benign/ non concerning looking lesions can often be treated with surgitron radio surgery. Any lesion that looks suspicious will be removed surgically and sent for pathological processing, or you will be referred.
You can book in for single lesion checks, full skin checks, or straight for radiofrequency mole removal if you have already had a mole or skin tag assessed as being benign.
In a perfect world, every New Zealander would have regular skin checks.
You can do a RISK assessment to help guide if now is a good time to have a skin check.
